Voting

Membership NFT

The Membership NFT used for traditional funding rounds will become a legacy feature. Lore is introducing V.0.2 where funding rounds will be done via a minting experience. You can choose to have a fixed mint price or a variable price where the user decides how much they want to contribute. You will automatically receive an NFT Instead of having the option to mint immediately or later.

Community NFT

The Community NFT will be a free mint on Base. The transaction costs are minimal (1$) and will be split 50/50 with the Lore platform via their revenue-sharing program. We still require clarification on the exact mechanisms for voting. They will be introducing a Reddit meets Web3-type forum page where each mint represents a vote. There is also an optional feature to pay for the free mint which will give you additional votes on how the Community Treasury is run. The mechanisms are still unclear on how votes are consumed and may be similar to a Reddit award. The free mints would also allow for other types of unlimited voting. See Framework.

For example: By minting this community mint, you would be able to vote on:

  • community activities and events (both online and offline proposals)

  • community merch

if you were to mint and contribute some eth, you would have further say and vote on:

  • priority to register for the activities and events (if there are limited slots)

  • community merch (first dibs if there are limited stocks), potentially qty of free merch as well

Paid minters have more votes per the mechanism. If you were to contribute 0.05eth, you would get 50 more votes. The free mint holders will not be able to vote on:

  • Main Vault decisions and activities

  • Portfolio Vault decisions and activities

Requires testing and more clarifications from Lore on their V.02 update. This tier is TBD.

Main/Portfolio NFT

A variable mint price means you can choose how much to contribute as opposed to a fixed mint cost. This represents an equity percentage in the Main DAO. Alternatively, you can also contribute to the Portfolio Sub-DAO directly. More details later - TBA
